Space for Me at Peckham Levels

A safe space for accessible therapy.

Each person is unique. As an Integrative therapist Lisa offers a flexible and creative approach for everyone she works with. She draws upon various approaches such as psychodynamic, humanistic and body psychotherapy.

“The relationship between us will be a unique and important part of our work. I welcome feedback along the way, so together we can find out what is right for you. I work interactively, meaning that I engage with and respond to you and what you present, rather than taking the ‘blank screen’ approach.”

Counselling is usually shorter term work, often focussing on a specific issue or agreed goal. Psychotherapy involves long-term or open-ended work, and may delve more deeply into your unconscious patterns and conflicts. Often goals can change over time and this is something you can discuss as you go along.

Lisa’s Background

I am an experienced therapist with my own private practice. I’ve seen clients in a variety of settings, such as at Hackney and City Careers Centre and at a low cost therapy service in Wandsworth, meaning I’ve worked with and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds. I have worked with a wide range of issues including, but not exclusively; anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, trauma, relationship issues, sexuality, feelings of overwhelm, intrusive thoughts, anger, identity issues and abuse.

My background is in education. I specialized in supporting teenagers and their families who were experiencing difficulties in mainstream schools. This experience led me to counselling and psychotherapy, as I wanted to support more fully individuals with specific needs.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre, one of the leading Integrative psychotherapy training institutes in the country, and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by the BACP Code of Ethics Additionally, to further deepen my knowledge and skills I am undertaking a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre.
