Whilst reading his BA in Classics at the University of Exeter, Will embarked on a career in music, scoring a number of student theatre productions including an immersive adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Director Alex Palmer (2014), interpretive dance piece Blink (2014) at the Northcott Theatre and a staged production of Hitchcock’s Rear Window (2013). During his time at Exeter, Will was awarded a scholarship in composition by the university, wrote a number of choral pieces for the choir & was heavily involved in the city’s music and arts scene, co-founding Hijacked Festival.
Will continued to land commissions after leaving Exeter with a number of directors and for established brands such as Ford, Ebay and Vivienne Westwood. In April 2016, he co-founded Shibui Music: a platform for bespoke commercial soundtracking and sonic branding, with long-time friend & fellow composer Simon Whitehead. Since then the company has thrived, working regularly with top agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi, Karmarama and VCCP.
