Holiday: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Hours: 40 hours minimum/week
Working Days: A mixture of days and nights, midweek shifts and weekend shifts

Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Venue Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality, event, festival, facilities management, and/or hotel industries. You will need excellent communication skills and demonstrable ability to work alongside our internal team, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and events professionals.
As a key part of the on-site Venue Operations team,, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the site and for ensuring all our communal spaces are in excellent condition. A welcoming host, you will be happy to get stuck into any task required, going the extra mile for visitors, Members, clients and colleagues. The role requires basic administration skills in order to complete and file daily checklists and reports and monitor supply ordering. Basic maintenance skills are also desired, allowing you to fix facility issues independently and assist external contractors on larger tasks. Our duty managers are responsible for event set up, break down and delivery – assisting our event clients where necessary. During busy periods, you will be required to support the smooth running of the café / bars across the venue. You will also be either trained or willing to be trained in first aid, fire safety and health and safety. Similarly, you will either hold or be willing to complete a course to attain a personal license card and SIA badge.
This is a start-up environment, so you will have to have the ability to work independently, be proactive, and be comfortable making decisions and communicating effectively. You must be self-organised and will produce work to a high standard with a good eye for detail. You enjoy working within a team as well as with other teams to make great things happen!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities in this role will primarily include:
Day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site
Opening and closing the site
Assisting with site maintenance and co-ordinating security and cleaning teams
Supporting the cafe / bar and front of house operations, serving customers and monitoring customer service standards
Event set up, breakdown and delivery
Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Maintaining high standards for Health & Safety
Monitoring of cleanliness, security, footfall, music, lighting, temperature, customer behaviour and all other elements contributing to the atmosphere on site.
Being the main point of contact between the visitors, site staff, Members, vendors/traders, and the wider team.
Supporting our members with any operational issues and troubleshooting
Daily reporting to the Venue Operations Manager.
Liaising with local police, fire and environmental health organisations if & when visiting the site
Enforcing licensing objectives across multiple vendors/ traders on site when on duty
Acting as an ambassador and host for the site
Flexible to work and perform other duties as needed
Proactive in continuously taking initiative to improve the site and suggest ideas to the wider team such as ideas for events, promotions, etc. to further enhance and activate the site.
Skills & Experience:
2 + years experience in hospitality, event, venue, festival, facilities management or hotel industries
Academic qualifications of GCSEs (or equivalent) or higher
Competent in English, both written and spoken
Administrative skills including knowledge of Google Drive, Gmail, and Slack
Confidence in basic maintenance
First aid trained
Fire marshall trained
Food hygiene trained
Trained in relevant H&S courses
Personal licence holder
SIA badge holder
