Charles Armstrong, The Trampery’s Founder and CEO, said:
”Evo Pioneers is The Trampery’s flagship initiative to support emerging entrepreneurs in the communities where we work, through a combination of free workspace and guidance. It’s exciting to launch our first cohort at Peckham Levels and the 10 successful applicants are extremely impressive. I look forward to helping this cohort of talented entrepreneurs advance their respective projects.”
Councillor John Batteson, Southwark Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency, Jobs & Business, said:
“It is great to hear The Trampery are launching this programme for aspiring entrepreneurs at Peckham Levels. We often hear that securing affordable workspace along with accessing relevant business support can be particularly challenging when starting up.
This phased approach where local people can access 6 months of free desktop space provides a great opportunity to scale up their business while also tapping into expertise from other businesses already in the building.
The first cohort includes a broad range of startups who all have a positive social impact, from music and events businesses to organisations which improve foster care and support vulnerable children. I look forward to seeing how this programme supports them grow and achieve their wider missions.”
Voices from the Cohort
“Peckham Levels brings together a brilliant mix of artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. It feels like the kind of community where ideas grow naturally and unexpected collaborations spark. After visiting and experiencing the vibe firsthand, I knew it was a space I wanted to be part of. I’ve enjoyed events, workshops, and some seriously good food. It’s one of my favourite spots to refuel, reconnect, and get inspired.”
— Jessica Paola Gomez Garzon, Awaken Media Prod
“Peckham is an area full of creativity and inspiration, and since learning that a lot of charities and social enterprises are based at Peckham Levels, I figured it would be a perfect fit! I’ve been here many times for events, courses and live music - but it was only recently I found out about the co-working area, via social media.”
— Fanny Beckman, Photographer
“Peckham Levels is an exciting location, with a real creativity and community energy, making it a constant source of inspiration. Developing Fix It Collective there has been a great opportunity to test and shape the project in an environment that shares similar values and ethos. The supportive atmosphere at the Levels has helped me connect with like-minded people and build my project stronger.”
— Colette Copple, Fix It Collective
“Peckham Levels is where the rebirth of Special Guest happened. The events team took a chance on me and Special Guest, and since then we’ve had a monthly flow of people who have built a relationship with the space and the Peckham Levels team. I live less than 5 minutes walk away from the building and Peckham Levels is a hub and a third space for me within my community.”
