Creepin’ it real this Halloween, we’re celebrating the spooky, weird and very well dressed with a line-up of South East London’s hottest DJs and selectors. Our theme is 2023’s viral moments - think movies, music, memes, Tik Tok or basically anything Beyonce got up to this year.
You will not want to miss our headliners, local legends BORN N BREAD playing a special set of their trademark funky house, UK Garage, Hip Hop and nostalgic R&B. Warming up the decks for them will be DJ collective WA Radio and the BBC Radio 1Xtra-backed Shifa Ligero.
If that’s not enough, we’re giving out free shots to the first 100 people through the door and there’s a cash prize for the best dressed, so pull out all the stops and feel free to get freaky with your costumes.
Don’t forget, the clocks are going back so there’s that extra hour to party!
Brought to you by Hennessy.
Line-up:
BORN N BREAD are a South East London creative collective dubbed as major cultural influencers but most importantly a group of lifelong friends. They've used their own unique flair to create an authentic and refreshing series of printed fanzines, alongside hosting an NTS radio show, DJing internationally, appearing as panelists and curating events. Their sound is heavily influenced by the African and Caribbean diaspora with hints of funky house, UK Garage, Hip Hop and nostalgic R&B, which they always set the pace for a musical journey in the dance!
Shifa Ligero is a 22 year old DJ hailing from South London, over the past year she has been DJing across Europe, including two whole months shelling down sets in Paris. Shifa’s sound can simply described as the Shifa experience, and by that it means everything goes! Expect future sounds, edits, Baile funk, hip-hop, R&B and everything in between.
WA Radio is a collective of artists who found their common ground during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially playing sets in a garden on Instagram. Their magnetic performances led to a coveted residency at legendary venue KOKO, alongside appearances at UK festivals like Secret Garden Party and All Points East. Drawing from a diverse musical palette, they blend amapiano, edits, hip hop and r&b, creating a sonic journey that defies genre boundaries.
