Join Peckham Levels residents Finding Rhythms for a night of live performances showcasing the creativity of participants from their Making Waves programme.
Making Waves artists will take the stage to perform their music , sharing their hard work and creativity with a live audience. From soulful R&B vocals to a high-energy Drum & Bass DJ set, there will be something for every music fan.
Making Waves, a flagship project by Finding Rhythms, empowers people leaving prison and at-risk young people to channel their creativity and share their stories through music. Over the course of 10 sessions in their private Peckham studio, participants work one-on-one with a professional music producer to create, record and release original music. Along the way, they hone their skills in storytelling, vocal techniques, beat-making and performance, culminating in a Making Waves mixtape, released on Spotify and Bandcamp.
For some of our artists, this will be their first time performing in front of an audience. We’re proud to create a supportive and inclusive space that celebrates each participant’s artistic journey, no matter where they are.
