Experience the future of UK jazz at NYJO’s monthly residency at Peckham Levels.
Sunshine is a Fine Artist, Performer, Singer-Songwriter and Educator; she has previously worked with NYJO as a vocalist on the Sun Ra Reimagined project and led the deep dive for the James Baldwin, ‘The Fire Next Time’. Sunshine is a core as member of the resident band at Orii Jam that happens every Monday in East London.
As always, this will happen on the first Friday of the month (6th March) and will culminate in a 45-minute set of original, bold music as played by both Sunshine and NYJO Musicians, with the set being followed by an open jam session.
Join us at Peckham Levels on the first Friday of every month for a performance of original compositions by NYJO musicians, featuring a special guest artist, followed by a lively jam session. Started in April 2025 our Levels Residency offers an opportunity for NYJO Emerging Professional musicians to develop their composition and stagecraft under the mentorship of key figures in UK jazz. Previous Levels Residency guest artist successes include Jay Kayser, Levitation Orchestra, Theon Cross, Jasmine Myra and Township Jazz.
