Spice up your Thursday nights at the People's Sessions and discover new music in a unique and intimate setting.
From traditional instruments infused with contemporary sounds to boundary-pushing fusions that defy categorisation, these evenings showcase the most unique, diverse and underexposed music London has to offer, in a space where you can really connect.
South-London soulstress, poet and multi-instrumentalist, Alya Isha pioneers ‘Nu World Soul’ music: a new sound for a new world. Born and raised in Japan, moving to Tooting, London and then Santiago de Cuba before returning to Brixton; the British, Indian-Mauritian and Swiss artist takes inspiration from her roots; adding her trademark hard-hitting political lyricism.
bous:
bous is a Spanish post-pop duo based in London named after the brightly coloured birds that sing to find each other in dense vegetation. Blanca's fragile and honest voice sits over guitar loops that she generates, while Daniel transforms them into an amalgam of textures, fragments of sounds and atmospheres. Think Spanish folklore meets contemporary artists: Warp or Mille Plateux Records.
